After exploring the Betty and Edward Marcus Sculpture Park at Laguna Gloria I was ready to enjoy lunch. This café is small but great. There was a seating area but I decided to take my lunch with me. I ordered the Cold Cut Sandwich where the menu said had salami, proscuitto cotto, gruyere cheese, arugula, tomato, red onion, balsamic vin & piquante aioli, served on their house sourdough focaccia along with a hibiscus iced tea. The sandwich was nice and big and had great flavor. All of the ingredients seems to work very well with each other. The tea was very refreshing. The person working there was very friendly and cool.
If you are in Austin, this is the place TO GO! I am visiting Austin and was craving brunch, this place did NOT disappoint! The food was absolutely outstanding and delicious, the fruit is fresh and filling. I ordered the ricotta toast and the breakfast spread which were both absolutely wonderful. The place itself is homey and comfortable, it is very fitting! Will definitely be coming back when I'm in town.
I'm so glad we came to spread and co. It's like eclectic bodega meets fancy deli counter meets coffee/tea shoppe. We were supposed to go to Kerbey Lane for Breakfast and the line was so long that we ended up going here instead and I'm so happy we did. We picked up some cheese and crackers all sourced from local Austin and Texas businesses whilst we waiting in line to order. Service was friendly. It took us about 30 min to get our food, and we were happily happily chatting on a Sunday morning till it arrived. We ordered Sourdough Pancakes, Cheesy Egg Toast, breakfast sandwich, and the Lawful Beetbowl. Total was around 80 dollars with tip. it was delicious! We'll definitely be back.
Such amazing vibe with great food. We came in on Sunday for lunch and there was a line but quickly moved. We were all very happy with our food, outdoor seating was really great when the weather permits. Packing is plenty as well. This is our favorite brunch spot so far.
I love this place! Definitely my new go to spot for brunch in Austin. I ended up at this place on a Saturday because they are one of the few brunch spots that take walk ins. When I got there, there was a small line, but it moved quickly and we were able to get a table. The way service works here is: you order at the counter, and then you are assigned a table, which makes things move quickly even though there are only a few tables. This is not the kind of spot where you can sit for hours and work on your laptop. It is more of a brunch/ date place. I ordered a couple of things to try since it was my first time and their homemade bread sounded delicious. I got chocolate chip pancakes, eggs, fruit, a biscuit, and a chai latte. Their biscuit was to die for. It was hot, fresh, crispy, and they paired it with a delicious, creamy butter and sweet jam, which was the perfect combination of sweet and salty. The biscuit had the perfect consistency, and it was definitely the star of the breakfast. I would go there over and over again just to eat the biscuits. The eggs were cooked perfectly, fruit was fresh, and the pancakes were super fluffy and moist. The chai latte was also solid. Everything I had was cooked to perfection and worth the price. Prices are fair. Plenty of parking, as it is located near a plaza. I will definitely be back to try out their cookies, as I heard they are the best and their giant grilled cheese. 10/10 recommend for a brunch with friends or an early date. The spot is decorated very cutely with plants, and the service is great. 10/10!
Sometimes I feel very behind the times, being in Austin for so many years and having missed out on gems such as these. Starting with dessert first (priorities), the limited-edition salted caramel chocolate Bundt cake is TO DIE. I only say this when I have no other grown-up words. There are perfectly half-melted chocolate chips in the fudgiest chocolate cake with a perfectly rich layer of just-salted-enough caramel and you betcha bottom dollar I ate the whole thing before my salad (balance) showed up! Usually a grilled Caesar is nothing to write up about, but this one is lovely. A base of the freshest romaine, dressed just right in a creamy house-made Caesar, ribbons of Romano and the crispiest brioche croutons (but not the kind that tear your mouth up). Adding chicken, again, could be unremarkable, but this is so moist and tender, delicately seasoned and the perfect complement. Enjoyed with Recess, feels like a cheat to sneak a business lunch at this beautiful retreat!
I think I've FINALLY found my go-to spot for breakfast. This has not been easy (for me). Great assortment of pastries and breakfast menu. Locale is small inside, but has more seating outdoors. I am excitedly looking forward to coming here to check out its lunch.
Returned here with my sales team for breakfast and had a great time! It's worth noting that it opens at 9 but it was perfect for a team breakfast! Enjoyed their lavender lemonade and an Americano. Was going to try their avocado toast but as everyone has that and no one has ricotta toast - went with that and it was good but honestly I was more infatuated with their house made cheaper biscuit which I wanted a few bites of but decided to eat this instead as the ricotta dish was a tad too sweet for me! Service was fast and friendly, love the setting and we had a great time and great meal to start our day!
I love Spread & Co! It's the cutest place for brunch with friends. They have an outdoor and indoor seating area and have fans outdoors for hot days. However, you have to get your own utensils and water. Ricotta Toast - A light little piece of sourdough toast with ricotta, fruit, mint, and honey. I got this twice and both times had different fruits and toppings on it. I do wish it was a bit sweeter with more honey though! Charcuterie Board - The charcuterie board always changes but I sways love the sides that come along with it. The gherkins are to die for! They usually have both a hard cheese and soft cheese which is great. The strawberry jam that comes with the board is the best thing I've ever put in my mouth. Overall, I love Spread & Co! Definitely a great place to get a beautiful brunch.
